As a generally unbendy and sturdy being! the wonderful bodily contortions of circus acrobats has always fascinated me. Making hanging pieces is a good way of using the space round the figures to show their magical supple natures. I really like the fun of decorating the costumes and the shadows the acrobats make on the wall too.

You can watch me on ‘Lost and Found in the Lakes’ making one.
